PROVIDENCE SCHOOL

    ACADEMICS       CHARACTER       TRANSITION

Dear Parent/Guardian,

While your student is housed in Ventura County’s Juvenile Justice Center he or she will be enrolled in Providence School.  Providence School is an accredited institution operated by the Ventura County Office of Education offering a standards-based curriculum with an emphasis in English/Language Arts and Mathematics.  High school students enrolled at Providence earn academic credit which is fully transferable to comprehensive, continuation and community schools.  The Providence School curriculum emphasizes the academic skills necessary to pass the California High School Exit Exam, the character skills necessary to make appropriate decisions and the transition skills necessary to further education and secure employment.

If you have questions regarding Providence School or your child’s academic progress, please feel free to contact us at (805) 981-5809 between the hours of 7:30 and 4:00.  You may also view our website at vcoe.org/ccs.

Providence
School
holds parent meetings at the Juvenile Justice Facility on Wednesdays from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. in the front lobby area.  Please call us if you are planning to attend.

Sincerely,
