elcome to our school. We are so glad you have chosen Gateway as an option toward your high school graduation. The Gateway staff is committed to providing you a safe and orderly environment to grow academically as well as socially and emotionally.
¨ Gateway has a number of programs available for credit recovery and the staff is consistently working every day to create more of these opportunities for our students.
¨ Many of our students also need the added support of recovery programs related to substance abuse, anger management issues, and emotional difficulties. At Gateway we also work daily to provide support services for our students.
¨ Gateway also advocates making a plan for after high school which may include the military, vocational avenues, or community college. Some students need GED services. We provide the resources to move students toward successfully passing the GED test.
Gateway is a chance to step up to the plate and take control of your life and your education. The resources at Gateway are abundant. The staff is committed. The remainder of student success is up to the student.
The Gateway administration believes that classrooms should be places where teachers can teach and students can learn, free from distractions and disrespect. Our administrative team will do whatever is necessary to make the educational environment a safe and productive learning environment. This includes support to staff and students. Students are expected to respect the learning environment, and staff members are expected to show respect to students.
chool attendance is a requirement at Gateway. Our teachers are talented and provide a rigorous standards based environment for our students. This is the first step in working with students to recover credits and work toward high school graduation.
Whatever it takes, Gateway is committed to our students. We ask only that the students approach the school with respect and an understanding that our behavioral and academic expectations must be taken seriously. We will provide to you whatever resources are necessary to help you overcome academic, social, or emotional issues. Gateway has an opportunity to serve a limited amount of students, and we reserve our classroom space for students who are willing to step up and take their education seriously. For those who don’t, Gateway will help you find other options.
